What started with a Navy-trained metalsmith on a Montana farm has grown into three generations serving our neighbors with the same integrity, honesty, and hard work that built this company over 50 years ago.
The Metalsmiths was founded in 1973 by our grandfather, a Navy veteran who learned metalsmithing during World War II. Born on a Montana farm, he built the company on principles of honest work, helping others, and strong family values—alongside our grandmother, who handled the books.
Their sons carried on the tradition, with summers spent installing systems across Alaska. One son grew especially passionate, eventually taking over and expanding the business while raising his own family.
Today, three generations later, we've brought it home to Snohomish—our shop on Riverview Road in the community that raised us. We continue that same commitment: straightforward service, treating every customer like neighbors.
